#19858 Random Delta Conversation Thread

Posted by musiqfan on 04 December 2011 - 12:42 AM

Not enough to make a new thread, but Delta and Nick got a mention in E Online's Gossip Column, The Awful Truth.

Dear Ted:
Can you seriously tell me that Miam (Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth) and Dick (Nick Jonas and Delta Goodrem) are happy? Like really? Nick always has that stupid smirk and Delta's always starring directly at the paps cameras and smiling. And Liam, well, he seems boring and Miley doesn't even smile anymore

Dear Welcome to 2011:

Q, you're going to have to get over Niley sooner or later (trust me, it's possible—I was a big fan of the twosome, too), but Miley and Liam are hotter and heavier behind the scenes than it might appear. Delta and Nick on the other hand? Not made to last, but he's enjoying it while it does.

I don't know, they look pretty serious to me. They'll be together a year in a couple of months.

#17819 Article: Delta tunes in to young love

Posted by musiqfan on 15 November 2011 - 11:31 AM

THIS IS SO EXCITING!! But I really hope all the songs she wrote with Nick are for his album, if there is one in the works.

I don't think they will be, not all of them anyway. Nick's been doing a lot of interviews this week for the Quaker contest he was a part of as well as for How to Succeed In Business and he said he wouldn't be doing a solo album again until after the Jonas Brothers make another album, and they've just tentatively started talking about if they want to record another CD. They generally write all their own songs with members of their band, so I can't see any Nick/Delta songs being on a Jonas Brothers CD.

But Nick writes a lot of songs that just never end up anywhere, and I assume Delta is the same so most of them might end up like that. But they met because Nick was brought in specifically to write with Delta for her album, so I would think at least one or two of those songs will be on Delta's CD. Especially given their personal relationship.

#16834 New Single Due Out

Posted by musiqfan on 05 November 2011 - 09:37 AM

Nick has a loyal fanbase in the states where as Delta doesn't. Duetting together would give her better recognition and would earn her place on the charts.

Honestly, I doubt a duet with Nick would get it done.  Nick and his brothers have lost quite a few fans over the last couple of years. The last Jonas Brothers album in 2009 did not sell anywhere near as well as the previous two did. Their last tour in 2010 didn't really sell as well as their 2009 world tour, in fact that had to cancel close to a dozen dates if not more before the tour even started due to low ticket sales, and the shows that did remain weren't sellouts. In fact, at one point they were selling lawn seat tickets for $10 to try to get the venues filled. Nick's solo album didn't sell that great, selling about 200,000 copies and Joe's recent solo album flopped way hard, not even selling 20,000 copies in two weeks. The Jonas Brothers have never been very popular on mainstream radio. They've really only had one or two singles that ever broke the top 10 on our singles charts.  Their albums tend debut at #1 and then quickly fall, and I'm not sure if today they could get a #1 album. Most of their fans have moved on to Bieber and One Direction.

They get talked about a lot in the gossip columns and there is always a lot of interest in their personal lives, but that doesn't translate to chart success. Radio really isn't interested in them. I say that as someone who likes them!

#16109 Photos: Delta and Nick Jonas Go Grocery Shopping

Wonder if this means they are living together now? I have heard rumors that they are and this makes me sort of believe it, joint grocery shopping sessions.

#14759 Fan pics with Delta from today

Oh for those hoping she didn't spend the whole month following Nick around, there is a rumor that she maybe headed home this week. Some girls met Nick and his opening act at the airport in Porto Alegre and Delta wasn't with them. Another girl was on the flight with Nick and said it was just Nick & his bodyguard on the plane.  Nick's family left today to come back to the US, so maybe Delta left to head back to LA as well.

All the other pics are with Nick and his brother, so those are the only Delta ones I saw.

#13067 Nick & Delta at Pinz 8/31/11

Posted by musiqfan on 02 September 2011 - 09:08 AM

The pap who took the video of Nick and Delta kissing said he's selling it to some TV shows and different shows are looking at it now. Kinda feel bad for Delta, once this gets shown all over TV it probably will be even harder for people in America to see her for her music first, as it will just reinforce the impression to see her only as the woman kissing Nick Jonas. Then they'll make the probable correct assumption that they're intimately involved and she'll probably be more associated with deflowering a Jonas Brother (even if he probably hasn't been a virgin for a long time, he's just never been so public about relationships) than for her music. :(

#9863 How Nick's Love Saved Her Life - J-14 Mag <Merged>

Nick's diabetes was pretty serious though. While once it is discovered it can be treated, when he was diagnosed his blood sugar was near fatal levels. He's spoken many times about how the doctors told him if he'd waited even a week more, he more than likely could have slipped into a coma and died.

I know diabetes can be managed, but it does seriously affect your life. Even if you stay on top of it and manage it, you're going to have a lower life expectancy than if you didn't have it just because it does damage things like your circulatory system, And you never get a break from it--there's no remission. Even a single moment of inattention to it can cause you serious problems.
