Is it true there are more kangaroos than people in Australia? Lol. I heard it the other day and it sounds pretty scary.

the most scariest spider in australia is huntsmans they look gross they do bite but they dont kill you or have any venom i get them here all the time

there are but unless it's mating season you don't have to be scared of them, in cities you only see them probably in a zoo or on golf courses in Central QLD there used to be a mob of Kangaroos that would eat our grass(good lawn mowers haha) but they stopped after we put fencing up. We';ve got cute animals in Australia like the wombat, koala(the koala and wombat are actually distant cousins and the word Koala is an Aboriginal one meaning no water which is the perfect name for them since Koalas don't drink the photo of Sam was really rare because they get all the moisture they need in gum leaves), some sharks, the wallaby, the kangaroo, seals

Haha I'm glad I stumbled across this thread Oh I HATE spiders as well! Which is really NOT a handy thing to have when you live in a house where a huntsman is found about once a week. But seriously, everyone, don't let that put you off coming to Australia. Honestly, it isn't that bad. It does depend where you go and hotels are fine and clear of spiders. So please come!!

Problem is that I would never die because of a spider bite, but I think if I actually saw such a huge-ass spider, my heart would beat itself to death.

My nan went to Aussie in the 80's. She went all over the world. Australia was her most hated place. I just remembered mum told me that. She hated it. My nan didn't go to the outback by memory. Mum said how nan swore by she would "NEVER go back"
I don't know the full story as nan died recently and when I was born, nan was already old and I never thought about asking anything until I grew older and unfortunately she got sick

^ My dog used to do that - he'd stamp on them, pull the legs off and then *slurp* gobble them up
