I'm not going to lie I kinda liked it at first, but now I get pissed and turn it off everytime I hear it because I want Delta to beat that song so bad. Basically, Delta has ruined that song for me. haha. No but i think compared to Sitting on Top of the World the song becomes so average. There is no vocal range whatsoever.

I found the girl inside of me that I've been missing for so long.

I told her that I'd never leave...

Anyone else think I'm on to something when I say Delta can climb to #1 in her second week?
Such a good idea that Sony made the track $1.19 now as opposed to $2.19 and I think the good publicity of the instores in Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney + Brisbane, expected stronger presence on radio as well as her exposure of The Voice will keep her in the Top 5 on iTunes next week -> Maybe even climb to #1 - would very much love that :)

I think it would be better if she were to stay within the "Top 10" even if she isn't number one (Do not get me worng I want her to hit number one and continue her "Number One" status) but it seems better if he were to stay there for weeks instead of simply hitting number one quickly and dropping down the charts. Hopefully she will release a second single and have two singles at the top of the charts (Each song being "Number One" on the charts and "Number Two" on the charts) at the same time. I don't know if my logic is correct (I could be way off) but....

Longevity would be important for her right now, she needs radio and the public to embrace this single in order to get traction towards the next single and the album release. She doesn't want a song like 'Hold It Against Me' or 'Boyfriend' that debuts high and then disappears.

As for what was mentioned in other posts, LivePopBars is a fantastic site and a key tool in our Chart Analysis at UKMix. I take anything from DSD with a grain of salt though.

I agree, I want her to stay in the charts as long as possible!
But a #1 would be great, I reckon with these instores her status will jump massively!

ITS SO MUCH CLOSER NOW!

Live Pop Bars is pretty much saying they are neck and neck which makes me think that Delta could go #1 in the second week (she wont go #1 this week, instores have not been THAT strong)

I'm staring at the iTunes chart constantly watching SOTOTW rise! it's been at #2 all day... I was hoping after tonight's episode of The Voice it would go to the #1 spot already!!!!!
The new album will debut at #1 on the aria charts without fail!

How do you see how far a song is away from passing another? All I can see is

#1 - stupid Call Me Maybe song
#2 - Sitting On Top Of The World

Welcome to the forum! I know its so addictive looking at the chart! I think the Sydney instore tomorrow will definitely push it over the line to #1 on iTunes and then Brisbane will be nice as well. I can definitely see it growing to #1 the week after which would be a gift. Love Delta so much and I know how much going #1 means to her

Live Pop Bars has them neck and neck (1.000 vs 1.000 Popularity) and the digital sales data suggests less than 100 units between them which in the schemes of growth shows that Delta should overtake Carly tomorrow.

Important to note that this will not mean Delta will be #1 simply because she ends up at #1 at the end of the week - the iTunes chart calculates over last 24 hours and not for the charting week. However as I keep stating, she may climb to #1 in week 2 *fingers crossed*
