Nine won the night again thanks to The Voice, although it and Revenge both slipped from last week. Tricky Business arrested its ratings slide, adding nearly 100,000 viewers from last week's episode. Nine's combined share was the same as last Monday (33.8%) but its primary share was lower.
Ten had a tough night, slipping to fourth place behind the ABC. MC was Ten's only program to attract one million viewers. Ten News at Five had a bumper audience (peaking at 973,000 viewers), but the revamped Late News (now hosted by Hamish Macdonald) could only get 151,000.

Change the presenter to Sandra Sully or Natarsha Belling, and ratings will go through the roof

The ABC's decision not to bid to telecast the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert was Nine's gain and it showed in the ratings. Performed in front of London's Buckingham Palace, the star-studded concert pulled a decent audience of 1.12 million over 3.5 hours (including commercials), peaking at 1.813 million. Combined with The Block's timeslot win, Nine was able to claim another Tuesday night victory.
Seven had an average Tuesday night. Once Upon a Time slipped below the one million mark, while the controversial storyline of The Kiss failed to lift the ratings of Packed to the Rafters (which will take a mid-season break after the June 19 episode). The return of Pictures of You however did OK at 9.30pm.
The season finale of Modern Family was Ten's most-watched program of the night. MasterChef fell below 1 million while Bikie Wars was steady from last week and doing well in the younger demographics. Ten Late News was 39,000 up from Monday's return.
Both 5.30pm game shows attracted more than 700,000 viewers, with Hot Seat coming out on top of Deal or No Deal nationally and on the east coast.
Coverage of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee helped 7TWO top digital channel shares and ABC News 24 become equal second most watched digital channel for the night.

Seven won the night overall while Nine won in primary channels. Timeslot wins by ACA and The Block were the only difference between Nine and Seven in primary channels, as Nine's night went downhill after The Block finished at 8pm.
It was an average night for Seven, with TT posting an unusually low audience last night, AGT just holding above the 1 million mark, and The Amazing Race Australia was steady from last week's season return.
Ten posted its highest Wednesday night share so far this year thanks to MC and Offspring, which enjoyed a big audience surge from last week.

The Block and Hot Property led Nine to a comfortable win last night, but Seven is still within a chance to claim the week with wins tonight and Saturday with the AFL.
Modern Family repeat rated better than Glee's season finale last week and lifted the figures of Law & Order: SVU as well. Ten's primary share went up as the result.

The AFL match between Carlton and Geelong gave Seven a comfortable win and a slim chance to win the week. The AFL's three-city totals were beaten by the NRL's two-city totals, but when the figures from the digital channels were added, the AFL outrated the NRL. The NRL's Melbourne audience was well down from the previous match against the Broncos, due to the absence of stars Billy Slater, Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk who are in the Queensland team for next week's State of Origin match.
BH&G did very well in Sydney against the NRL.
MC MasterClass continued its ratings surge but The Living Room did not benefit from the MC lead-in.

Solid numbers for the AFL match between Essendon and Sydney, and low ratings for the rugby on Nine, led Seven to a good win.
The premiere of Death in Paradise did well for the ABC.

Seven had a big win on the night before Queen's Birthday (in most states except WA) led by the main channel and 7mate. Not surprisingly, most shows shed viewers due to long weekend. The exception was DWTS which was steady.
US comedy Last Man Standing, which aired on Foxtel earlier this year, flopped on its free to air premiere. It dragged down New Girl to a new series low.

Nine benefited most from more people tuning in during Queen's Birthday holiday, posting a resounding victory thanks again to The Block and The Voice (rebounding from the ratings lows of past two weeks when it failed to get the 2 million mark). Tricky Business fell from last week based on adjusted figures.
The AFL lead-in helped Seven News defeating Nine News in Melbourne, while the clip show episode of Revenge did quite well against The Voice. Otherwise it was little change from last week. Seven also won Adelaide and Perth.
MC attracted 1.082 million viewers, well down from the Queen's Birthday episodes of past 3 years when it got at least 1.8 million. Last Man Standing went up from Sunday's disastrous FTA premiere but still came fourth in the timeslot.

Ten's new reality show Being Lara Bingle posted a decent audience for last night's premiere. It pulled 925,000 in preliminary figures, coming third behind The Block overrun / The Big Bang Theory repeat on Nine and Once Upon a Time on Seven. Being Lara Bingle placed 6th in 16-39 and 18-49 demographics and 10th in 25-54. It peaked at 1.226 million at 8.11pm but had plummeted to 616,000 nationally by 8.20, before rebounding as viewers waiting for the start of Bikie Wars tuned in. The Jamie Oliver episode of MC, which aired before BLB, was Ten's most-watched program of the night, with an impressive audience figure of close to 1.3 million (it peaked at 1.8 million).
Seven managed another narrow win in combined shares thanks largely to Once Upon a Time and Packed to the Rafters, both of which went up on last week. TT (featuring Matt White's interview with Kerri-Anne Kennerley) beat ACA (featuring Tracy Grimshaw's interview with Lindy Chamberlain) nationally.

The second State of Origin match of the year gave Nine a thumping win. The match in Sydney, in which NSW beat Queensland 16-12 to level the series at 1-1, was slightly down from game 1 (2.51 million) but posted the highest figure for game 2 since OzTAM ratings began in 2001, with a peak of 2.823 million. While SOO enjoyed huge audiences in Sydney and Brisbane as usual, it also did very well in Melbourne, where it ranked third behind Nine News and The Block and defeated AGT, MC, Offspring and The Amazing Race Australia across two hours.
Channel Nine press release:

The biggest Sydney audience in the history of OzTAM ratings for any program on the Nine Network has celebrated the NSW Blues stunning 16-12 victory over Queensland at ANZ Stadium last night.
An average Sydney audience of 1.199 million viewers on the Nine Network tuned in as the VB Blues forced a series-deciding match in front of a record crowd of 83,110 fans - the biggest attendance at a Sydney Origin since the reconfiguration of ANZ Stadium following the 2000 Olympics.
The OzTAM ratings, introduced in 2001, recorded the largest Sydney audience in Harvey Norman State of Origin history and placed last night's match as the third highest rating program in Sydney ever across all networks.
A national average audience of 3.865 million viewers tuned in across the Nine, WIN and NBN networks, the second largest audience in Origin history after Game 1 of this year's series (3.957m).
Across the five capital cities on Channel Nine, 2.495 million average viewers tuned in - again the second highest in Origin history after Game One of this year's series (2.515m).
Across regional Australia, the match was also the second highest rating Origin match ever, with an average audience of 1.370 million.
The match was the most watched in Origin history in Melbourne, with a record average audience of 370,000 viewers, and the highest rating Game Two in history.
It was an outstanding result for a remarkable game," ARL Commission Interim Chief Executive, Mr Shane Mattiske, said today.
"Origin keeps setting new benchmarks in Australian sport with the series selling out in every state and setting new ratings records with each match."
Nine Network Managing Director, Mr Jeffrey Browne, said: "The contest was as great as the concept.
"We salute the players, the best in the world, and their coaches Ricky Stuart and Mal Meninga, who do so much to promote Origin.
"It doesn't get any better. Personally, I'm so proud of our commentators and crew - and how they put together a record-breaking broadcast to once again confirm Nine's commitment to the great game of Rugby League."

Offspring and MC held up well against SOO but MC was well down on the past three years when it attracted at least 1.6 million viewers when it went head to head against SOO. Eleven was the No.1 digital channel of the night thanks largely to Neighbours.
As usual Seven split the programming against SOO. The Amazing Race Australia's three-city total (Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth) was down from last week.

Hamish and Andy's Euro Gap Year posted an impressive audience figure of 1.4 million on debut last night, but it was down from 1.6 million last year when the boys travelled to the US. The program and The Block helped Nine winning in primary channels, but Seven won overall with help from digital channels. The AFL did very well in Perth but lost to Euro Gap Year in Melbourne.

Seven won the night but the AFL was outrated by the NRL. The AFL did very well in Adelaide but only got average figures in Melbourne due to the late start. The live NRL posted good figures in Sydney, but the late match retained less than half of the audience from the live match.
MC MasterClass fell from last week, taking a hit against BH&G in both Melbourne and Adelaide.

Seven won the night without the AFL in most states, while Ten benefited from this with some primetime programs (especially The Graham Norton Show) lifting their audiences.
The rugby rated poorly for Nine.

The combination of The Voice, The Block and Rugby League State of Origin game 2 gave Nine an easy win last week. It is also the third time in 2012 that Seven lost the week despite winning five out of seven nights.
Nine slammed its rivals in 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54. Ten actually defeated Seven in 16-39 and 18-49 and came close to Seven in 25-54. Nine also had the week's top eight programs thanks to clever coding.
Nine ranked first in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with Seven still in front in Adelaide and Perth.
Seven won Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Nine took Monday and Wednesday. ABC bettered Ten on Saturday.

Not surprisingly, The Voice's grand final performance show was the most-watched show of the night. What was surprising was the show averaging only 2.244 million, peaking at 2.794 million viewers. While the show dominated the younger demos, the average audience figure was below many people's expectations. Nine dominated the night with The Voice, The Block and the 6pm news taking top three spots. The Voice is expected to be adjusted to 2.22m and Tricky Business (which started 9 minutes late due to The Voice before it) to 691,000.
The Voice pulled more than 1 million viewers than the grand final of Dancing with the Stars, won by Johnny Ruffo just ahead of Danielle Spencer. DWTS was nearly 200,000 down on the figures for last year's finale. DWTS, which finished nearly 30 minutes late, is expected to be adjusted to 1.24m and Castle to 704,000.
MC took a big hit against The Voice and DWTS, losing 350,000 viewers from last Sunday. MC did well in the demos however, coming third in 16-39 and fourth in both 18-49 and 25-54. Last Man Standing, New Girl and Touch were slaughtered by their rivals.

The Voice finale helped Nine to another romping win last night. Although the finale posted huge figures, they fell well short of expectations of many people and Channel Nine itself (it went on record saying it would be disappointed if the show did not get 3.5 million). It also fell short of the benchmark for reality finales set by MasterChef Australia two years ago, when 3.964 million metropolitan viewers and five million nationwide watched Adam Liaw defeating Callum Hahn in the decider.
The Voice finale's metropolitan peak audience was 3.366 million viewers. Combined with regional audiences, the national peak rose to 4.359 million viewers. The Voice Winner Announced got a whopping 1.56 million in 25-54 and 1.497 million in 18-49, but only 994,000 in 16-39.
Nevertheless, The Voice overtook My Kitchen Rules as the most-watched program of 2012. It also became the highest rating entertainment show since OzTam ratings began, surpassing Australia's Got Talent 2011 and the Hey Hey It's Saturday reunion in 2010. It compares very well against the finales of other reality shows in the past 12 months.

Seven had a small win last night thanks largely to impressive figures by Packed to the Rafters, before it went into hiatus to make way for the return of Winners & Losers next week. Once Upon a Time continued to fall, now below the 900,000 mark and even lost to Being Lara Bingle in 16-39 and 18-49 demographics.
Bikie Wars finished on a high, beating Packed to the Rafters in 18-49, 16-39 and 25-54. Being Lara Bingle dropped from last week's debut, but still did okay, coming sixth among the 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54 demos.
Ten Late News with Hamish McDonald got 263,000, beating Nine and only 5000 away from Seven, but more importantly easily won its timeslot in 18-49, 16-39 and 25-54.

Excellent figures for The Block, plus slumping ratings for AGT and The Amazing Race Australia on Seven, led Nine to a solid win last night. Good shares by 7TWO and 7mate meant Seven only lost the night by 1.6%. MC and Offspring were Ten's most-watched programs of the night.
ABC2 had a strong 4% share thanks to the premiere of new documentary Dumb, Drunk and Racist.
