Congrats! How old are you?

And my friend rang me today after going for her L's (about a year after she was able to) and told me that despite reading the book she failed.

I didn't even read the book and I passed with 97%

It's the theory test on a computer, just answering questions. This shows makes sure you know enough road rules to begin driving.
The P-plate licence test is a theory test, followed by a driving test. This determines whether you become a probationary driver and are able to drive on your own/unsupervised

Congratulations! :) I so need to get around to driving lessons but I'm waiting for an automatic car to magic itself into my possession. :P

Thanks everyone :)

I originally did the computer test and failed 1 give way question! (which when the lady showed me what
it was I kicked myself!) And because you can attempt it 3 times in 1 day I went again but this time did the
theory test. I much preferred that. Wasn't too happy about having to pay the $33 twice to sit the test
twice though .. The second time I did the test and passed the give ways (thankfully!) I only got 3 questions
wrong in the multiple choice so I was stoked!

I went for my L's in NSW when I was 16 and passed first go but I let them expire

I'm 21 :) Better late then never! I will be learning in a manual, something different for me :P

Hooray for manuals! Yay! I drive a manual too, they're so much more fun than automatics :)

oh well, I didn't get my L's til I was 18.
It seems there are a lot of people around our age who have left it til late to get their licence

In SA the give way test to start the L's computer test can be so tricky sometimes! Get one wrong and you don't get to continue :( Lucky for me I passed first time! :) It's a good thing that you can do some practice on the web before you sit the test! And same goes for when you need to do the Hazard Perception test to get your P2's; practice it online and you'll pass easy! The same questions I was practicing came up in my test! Well done on getting your L's, are you now under the new system and have to have them for 12 months?

I don't think there is a online hazards practice test for Melbourne.
