Best graphic making programs for Mac?

Can any one recommend programs for macs (like from the App store) that are really good for making signatures and graphics?

the best program I know to use is photoshop, but it really comes to your skill and imagination.
You could have the best program ever, but lack the skills and imagination to create something great.

Fair enough, but I have to start somewhere... :) So you reckon photoshop? Can you get that for macs?

Photoshop CS 5. You can do so much more on it than other Photoshop versions. I suck at it though

yeah, you should be able to. It's not cheap though.
I'd recommend starting with a 'trial' version.

Yes you can get Photoshop for Macs I have it on mine. Although it is ridiculously priced but it can be very affordable if you know where to look. ;)

My friend uses Inkscape and Gimp to make some really cool stuff and they're both free. I can't figure out how to use either of them for the life of me though! :P

If your a student you can get photoshop or even the whole master collection (like I did) for less than $500 if you know where to look.

If your a student you can get photoshop or even the whole master collection (like I did) for less than $500 if you know where to look.


go to Centrecom or any PC shop.
They should have it available to purchase at a student price.
$250 last time I checked

true, but you're amazing with graphics sohan, you don't need photoshop for that.
I'm sure you could make a masterpiece using paint.

Photoshop was made for macs ... it is made by apple specific for macs .. because of its popularity they had to make a PC version of it as well.
Its really really good but u need to know how to use it to get the best results.

Wow I didn't know about Photoshop being made for Macs orginally... Interesting.
But I really highly reccomend using Photoshop seeing as I've been using it since I was about um, 12?
I just recently got the new CS6 Master Collection and it is absolutely amazing.
And tutorials for beginners are very easy to come by on google but this site is the one I used way back when I started :)

I used to use Paint Shop Pro, which was amazing, but it won't work with my Mac. does Photoshop work similarly to PSP, or will I have retrain myself as with everything else on the Mac?

I'm sure I can create the same stuff on Photoshop 7 as I can on CS5 albeit with a few extra steps. :)

Photoshop regardless of what version, is a great program to create "graphics" on, but it's really down to your skills in the end!

Photoshop is the best, I use it and I have a mac, it's easy to use once you know how (there are plenty of tutorials around the place) and it's easy to get... get it online for free, you know type thing :P
