Late November at this stage. I just contacted Sanity who contacted Sony Music Australia and they said the new single will definitely be out before Christmas.

Sanity's tweet never mentioned they contacted Sony Music Australia. Where did you get that from? Yes they had that meeting, but that was some time ago and they told us the same info that they told you today.

Where else could they have gotten their information from? They have contacts with record labels all over the state. Don't you think this matches up since Delta said at the Avon Voices Finale that new music would be coming very, very soon?

Not to be a nit-picker, but Delta says some variation of 'very, very, soon' a lot.

Surely if a single were to be released in the next month we would actually have confirmation in the form of a date or at least something solid from Delta's management instead of her just saying soon every time she's asked.

Nobody's saying they're lying to you; they're just relaying the information they have and we're just saying that it's likely to not be true.

They already were told by Sony some time ago that Delta will be releasing new music around Christmas. It's not really new information, maybe they were going on that information.

From what I remember a Christmas release was tentative back then. Nothing was definite. I think somebody else should tweet them asking if the rumours are true and see if their answer varies.

That's true, it was a tentative date. The "definitely" part in their tweet is reassuring. With the whole ARIA Awards and Delta rumoured to be performing, it just makes sense.
