I don't think that Jenkins' version is bad. I feel that Goodrem puts more emotion in the song and I think I enjoy hearing Delta's version more then K. Jenkins version. I think it would have been a little more interesting if she had put her own spin on the Delta song!

I completly agree with you, its missing originality! If she had tryed to sing it in maybe a more operatic way and really put her heart into it it could have been amazing.

Woah. Just had a listen to it. It really is exactly like Delta's original version just with a different singer who, in this case, does not sound as good as Delta!! It makes you appreciate Delta's voice so much when you hear other people singing her songs. It sounds weird listening to it!!

when katherine wanted to sing l'amore se tu (i will always love you) she asked permission from dolly parton to sing her song as a classical version in italian so i'm sure Delta was probably asked beforehand as she technically has the rights to the song

Yes, she would definitley have to give permission. But I'd imagine she would've heard the track. Normally, most artists just give permission but don't hear the song unless it's constantly replayed on the radio.
And approval may not be the right word to use but Delta is showing her support in Katherines song by re-tweeting. Help put the song out there more. Plus it helps her get royalties in sales :-D

Katherine did a good version of Bring Me To Life, which I did purchase and still listen to. I don't like hoe she has changed the name but it's different. She would have had to get permission to do that i think.

I completely agree. It's much better than Delta's, but it's still...bad. It just doesn't do anything for me...what is that lipstick?! haha.

Seriously, the lyrics are so beautiful, and a great story could be told through the music video. It's a shame neither of them did that.
