You know what was so funny, in 2010 Jess said to Steve something about her playing Lolita to him, referring to their age gap, and NOW we have this epic song coming out in 7 days or so <3

Mhm. Well. Same with DWABH imo.
I've waited so long for something new and the 2nd album has been way more electronical than the first one (same with Delta and the s/t album) but now The Veronicas managed to even use MORE electronic beats than already on their last one?! XD I think the song's okay-good, but I believe it gets annoying very very fast xD

What does everybody think of Lolita???? It's catchy but not as good as I was expecting... what's with all the "noise" after the chorus? Annoying and unneccessary and takes away from the song IMO. It sounds like a remix.

But still love them no matter what

That was the "Dub step break down" a lot of songs have been having recently.

I liked it alot, way more pop then I thought it would be, but, it's fun and sorta relatable.


Additionally the dynamics are interesting, they use "Typical" vocal looks unusually (AH!! instead of Ahhh or oooh), they use the Synth like a piano instead of some inane basic beat and attempt to mix up the vocals and the synths together to make a full sound/song and more intriguing to the human ear.

Incredible props for this unusual but poppy pop song <3

The dubby bits in this are way, way better than most of the 'lite' versions we have seen pop up in various recent pop songs.

It's definitely edgy, I like it, but I worry about the radio-friendliness of it.

I've listened to it a lot more now and I don't actually mind it... but still hate that "dubstep breakdown" shit in it. So unneccessary and annoying. Hope the rest of the album/new songs aren't the same.

But I gotta say, all the interviews and stuff they've done recently you really see what beautiful people those girls are. They care about their fans so much

To me that bit of the song is like, how they are terrified of whoever they're in love with, using, the older man, the Humbert to their Lolita.
The Ah! screaming bits kind of help me see that bit as being about that part of "Whatever" relationship they wrote this song about.
It's weird, but it's not purposely just a random Dub step, it serves a purpose to contradict the rest of the love/stalker song ish parts of it. It makes the song darker, and more creepy and the story behind the song is creepy.


I LOVE the dynamics in this song, so well developed and interesting to listen to.

Not sure how I feel about "Lolita". Not as exciting as I expected. I liked the live songs they performed last year better. But, I am excited for new music so I'll take what I can get!
