Yes it is a bit harsh but non the less an eliment of truth in it
It gives me the opportunity to express an opinion
Firsty i must say I am a big fan of Delta like all of us here Delta has an amazing voice her performances are always excellent and she is very good to and mindfull of her fans.
I have a hugh dislike for the what i feel is overuse of auto-tune where it is used on main vocals to make artists sound diffrent to the way the sing normally
I know over the years producers have twiddled knobs to make someone sound better that they really are one example when Holly Valance finished her acting on Neighbours she they whoever wanted to make a single to release to show her singing side and when it came to recording the producer twiddled his knobs and came up with the single Kiss Kiss, which was a hit but when it came time for a follow up release she sang in a reasonably normal voice and it didn't sell well.
My point is it is one thing to use outside influnces on artists that don't have as much of a vocal gift as others but these days auto-tune is used on everyone particularly in the Sony camp which of course as well as Delta included Guy Sebastian Jessica Mauboy, Stan Walker, Timomatic, and the list goes on, all of these artists can sing and sing well so why put auto-tune on them all, just because you can?
Much as I would like Delta to be successfull in the back of my mind i hope the buying public are saying enough auto-tune particularly on Delta and hence sales of the single may not have been as successful as hoped.
I do not know but it is possible that the reason the Album has taken so long is because Sony wanted auto-tune on everything and Delta was against it.
I am also a little concerned that the Album's release may be delayed due to sales not being as good as hoped and heaven forbid it has been known with sales down on the single going into the release of the Album for the artist to be droped by the label, I certainly hope not in this case
Sorry about the above just putting out an opinion
So basically I'd take it as a sign that dance music OF THAT SORT is not her thing.
It's such a waste cuz the song could've been so much more developed, more dancey, more epic and just, so much MORE.
