I think those that lived near Homebush were wanting the same thing Michaela, I know those that live at the base of Mount Panarama can't wait until the race is over because traffic's distrupted while it's on plus there's the noise. You might know the reason Michaela but why did Big Ben ring 40 times? This is probably going to be a very unpopular opinion but I can't wait for them to be over. I live close to where some of it is being held (Wembley) and already everything is in chaos here in regards to traffic etc. I also live exxxxxtremely close to where they are keeping the torpedo jet (RAF Northolt) and I'm sick of hearing them over head. I just don't get it...the country has no money yet we can spend all this on the Olympics..

You've never read an Adelaide newspaper around Clipsal 500 time then!
Everybody goes nuts and hates the disruption the event causes for a week to traffic flow on the eastern side of Adelaide. (It features in just about every television news break, newspaper and opinion pole!)
Those whingers really annoy me. It's short term pain for something that injects millions into our states economy! Personally i love going too!

^ Gotta love mad march! Best time to be in the city imo.
Gotta love that the media haven't yet gotten over the clash between the Fringe Festival / Adelaide Festival / Womad (or whoever those fuddy duddies on the riberbank were) and the noise of the Clipsal 500.
Now they want to move it all to Frantic February.

It was for the All The Bells event. Bells were rang around the UK. It was put together by a musician called Martin Creed and was just a part of the London 2012 festival. Hasn't rang out of sequence since 1952I think those that lived near Homebush were wanting the same thing Michaela, I know those that live at the base of Mount Panarama can't wait until the race is over because traffic's distrupted while it's on plus there's the noise.
