Why is "Uncovered" only released on physical CD?

Why have Sony made the decision to release this song only to physical CD? Seems like a bit of a silly decision, as it opens up the door for people to illegally download Uncovered if they have already purchased SOTOTW on ITunes and do not want to pay "again" for the same song by purchasing the physical CD. The only reasoning I can think of is that Delta may be releasing this song as her next single?
Once it is released on ITunes, I will more than happily pay for it as I love her music and love supporting the music industry. But in the meantime I struggle to understand why I can't get it on ITunes now. Anyone have any information on why this is? :-)

And no the physical single worked really well and was sold in a massive quantity due to her instores and the private gig competition.
Illegal downloads of this song would not be substantially different from any other song on the charts and the song has been out since April 13 and has turned out to be a big success, not falling below Top 15 in its 2 months so far.

I'll only buy a single if it's available as a CD

That is ridiculous, in this day and age. I used to be like that, now I don't even care. if I can buy it on iTunes I will, if i can't i'll look for it online somewhere..

So let me FALL
I WON'T break
I'll take my HEART to my grave
I will BREATHE under the water
You've FORSAKEN the daughter here
But I wont GIVE UP on you
No I won't give up on ME

With other artists I tend to download from iTunes or something.

I will always look for the physical CD first. They have a much greater sound quality. It may be less convenient than itunes, but worth it in the end.
I buy both!!! I would prefer to buy an album in hard copy - but love that individual songs can be downloaded! iTunes and having an iPhone has made it so much easier! It's a bit ignorant of us to not be into downloading music it won't be long until CDs are gone completely!
I doubt it, vinyl is coming back, which is from before CD's
^ as far as singles go I agree
but with albums, i only buy phsysical cds, much prettier, great quality, love the booklets, love to have something in my hands
+1. itunes is no match for a CD. Especially the sound quality. The music that is purchased through itunes is of a compressed format, really only designed for playback on an mp3 player. When you connect it to a good sound system and turn up the volume, a CD will win over a digital (compressed) track every time.
I also agree about being able to physically hold the CD in your hands. The buzz when you've bought the new CD, and when you get to the car, or get home and get to play it.

I love the convinience of having all my music on a single device.
I agree with you on that, but there is nothing better than having the crisp, clear quality of a CD.
When you have a really good sound system, you will notice the difference in sound quality when you play a CD and turn it up as opposed to plugging in your mp3. Mp3 is really designed for when you are on the go.
What I normally do, is buy a CD, then rip the music to my mp3 player, that what I have all my music on the mp3 player, but also have the original high-quality CD audio

most artists don't even release b-sides theses days coz everything is digital so I love the fact that delts still has physical singles with special songs for dedicated fans
ps. it won't be the next single it (probs) won't even be on the album...
