COULD Delta Goodrem be planning to put down a track with her Voice protege Rachael Leahcar following the completion of the hit show?
That was a strong whisper from music circles this week, with the tempting thought being tossed around of the show's young sweetheart joining Goodrem, her inspiration, on a duet.
"I have not heard that," a Sony rep said when asked of the rumours. Goodrem's rep did not respond.
Goodrem is signed to Sony and has an album due for release in the coming months.
Leahcar is part of her team on The Voice.
The winner of The Voice will walk away with a contract from Universal music.
Universal has not wasted any time in cashing in on the interest in The Voice, releasing yesterday an album featuring covers by the final 24 contestants.
Another compilation featuring the original tracks that have been covered on the show is expected early next month, with the winner's album tipped for the end of June.
The winner's single will be available following The Voice grand final on June 18.
