Who is this Matt?

Matt Hetherington, a former contestant on The Voice Australia. He is also a stage performer.

was the performance screened on TV?

The Sitting on Top of the World performance was shown on TV (you can see the logo of host broadcaster Channel Nine on top right of the screen during the video) but not the In This Life performance.

The SOTOTW performance played live nationally on TV to an audience of 2.5 million.

They however did not broadcast the ITL performance.

Slight correction, the pre-match (which included SOTOTW performance) was seen by 1.5 million viewers. The 2.5 million figure is for the actual match.

I think she tries to hard with her voice, in the start, pushes it higher when it's supposed to be lower or some shit, she's not singing it in a "Sing Along" or "Natural" way, which is a nature of the song which I always liked, any random could hum it. It works that way.
It works better deeper live.
IMHO.

Basically I agree with the people who say it has two parts, the wishy washy high pitched try hard part, and the sweet cute intimate lower fun to sing along part

In the performance, her voice has extremely strong verbrado - I wonder if this was a result of her cold or if it's just her voice, personally I like her voice better without it!

Thanks for correcting I didnt know how it was spelled!

So I stand on this hill
With my flag held high
With the will to survive
Bullets flying by
Broken hears scattered on this battlefield
Holding out for something real
I won't give up
I won't give in
I fight for hope in this
WAR ON LOVE

I thought it was fine. She did sound like she was battling some kind of congestion. The beginning was shaky but the second half ended nicely. I feel Delta should sing more in her mid and lower registers. :)

Trivia: this is the second time Delta has performed at a sporting event broadcast by Channel Nine in Australia. The previous occasion was the 2006 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, when Delta sang Together We Are One.
